The parents wish to express their outrage at the Disability Law Center of Massachusetts and the Massachusetts ARC (Association of Retarded Citizens) for taking the side of Attorney Schwartz in the Rolland case. These organizations claim to represent the interests of disabled and retarded citizens. Yet they have refused to show any concern for the interests of the Seven Hills Pediatric Center residents and their families. We urge the public to recognize that these organizations are not interested in the well-being of the most profoundly retarded and severely disabled individuals in Massachusetts, and to withdraw any financial and other support that they might otherwise provide to those organizations. We urge you too to write to them to express your sense of outrage at their inhuman behaviors toward the Seven Hills Pediatric Center patients and their families.

The parents and other families members also wish to express their outrage at the Department of Mental Retardation, the Department of Health and Human Services, and the office of the Attorney General of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for not protecting our loved ones and ourselves from the indiscriminate demands of the Rolland attorneys and for placing the lives of our loved ones in the hands of an entity lacking the ability to exercise appropriate judgment.
